Writing about an intended project can only convey a limited amount of information. Sometimes pictures can be worth MORE than a thousand words. A storyboard is a visual representation of the design and details of your program. How you represent your storyboard is a personal choice. Some people use the forms I passed out (and make available electronically), others might use the forms supplies in the Alessi and Trollip book (pg. 562), still others might want to create their own versions. The important part is that you have a systematic form that conveys the operational data about each card. A storyboard card represents:
The storyboard should correlate with both the flowchart and navigational charts. Remember that the project will evolve but you are only responsible to use the storyboard to represent a single "snapshot" in time. Submit this document in paper form to Dr. Z |
