Creating a physical representation (drawing) of how your project's parts all fit together is important for your understanding as well as your client's understanding of the planned final product. This organizational chart is more than the organizational chart you created in Project 4.2 of the HyperStudio book. It is actually a Level 2 flowchart as described in the Alessi and Trollip book (pg.. 503 - 514). The Level 2 flowchart provides an overview of the structure of the program as well as the major branching that occurs as the learner progresses through the program. It doesn't have to include the detail of a level 3 flowchart. but it needs to provide enough information to test the logic of the system. It is understood that the program will evolve as you design and develop your project. This means that the flowchart may change as the project progresses. In real life, the modifications should be indicated on the flowchart. This assignment only asks you to represent a "snapshot" of the program's design.f This flowchart should coincide with your storyboard and navigational chart at the time when they were created. As the project evolves, the planning documents should be modified to show the changes, but you don't have to worry about that. You just need to represent your project's design for one moment in time.

Layout |
Flowchart is clear and visually represents the flow of progress through the program. |
Flowchart is somewhat clear and does a reasonable job of representing the flow of progress through the program. |

Logic |
Flowchart demonstrates a clear logic for how the learner will progress through the program. Branches, where necessary, are represented as integral parts of the flowchart. |
Flowchart reasonably demonstrates the logic for how the learner will progress through the program. Branches, where necessary, are represented as part of the flowchart. |
Flowchart demonstrates the logic for how the learner will progress through the program but some serious flaws are apparent. Branches are represented as add-ons to the flowchart. |
