Final e-Portfolio

Dr. Leigh E. Zeitz
200 points

You have been working towards this all semester. This is your final e-portfolio.
Here is your opportunity to show the world who you are, what you have done and your future potential.

Your e-portfolio requires the following specific sections:

Opening Page

This is the first page of your e-portfolio. It's primary purpose is to impress the viewer within 5 seconds. This is where you make your first impression. It might include a portrait of you, or you in a teaching situation, or whatever flavor you want to give the portfolio. You might want to include an introductory letter to your viewer here.

You might also want to include your name, your address, and some other brief important information about you. This page will probably only be seen once during the visitor's visit to your portfolio.

This page must have links to other pages in the portfolio.

Educational Philosophy
(on Opening Page)

You are trying to communicate who you are as an educator. Assume that your viewer has no other information about your beliefs and values as an educator. You can base this upon the philosophy that you wrote in your reflection, but you can expand upon this as you wish. This is where your potential employer can learn if your philosophy will fit well into his/her institution. It is CRUCIAL for this to be well-written!
Standards Overview This page must link to each of the other 11 standards pages.
Standards Pages Each of these pages must include a list of the artifacts that fulfill each criteria. Each of the names in this list must link to that artifact's page. Descriptions must be included for each artifact as well.
Artifacts/Standards Matrix This is the grid which identifies which artifacts address which standards. It must list a minimum of 10 artifacts and indicate the standards that each artifact fulfills.
Each of the artifact names must link to that artifact’s page.
Artifact Pages

This is your collection of artifacts. You should exhibit enough artifacts to demonstrate that you have addressed all of the standards/criteria. This should be at least 10 artifacts but it might be as many as 20. You don't want to overwhelm your viewer with quantity but you DO want to show a depth of background and understanding.

Each artifact must have it’s own page. Include your reflections about the artifact on each page (using the What? So What? Now What? format). The Standards/Criteria Connection will also be included. List the criteria in bold and then follow each heading with an explanation of how the artifact fulfilled that criteria. The artifact will be included on its respective artifact page or link to the artifact

CD Your portfolio will be "burned to a CD. This CD should work on either the Macintosh or Windows platform.
Web Your portfolio will be posted to the web. It can either be your CCA server account or another site if that is easier for you.

Submit:

  • A CD containing your e-portfolio. This CD must be operational and the links must work as well on this CD as they work on your website (and vice versa).
  • Post the URL to the web version of your portfolio
