Option 1: Webinar/Event - 20 points (submit by March 23 @ 3:00 pm)
Attend
any one of the webinar events listed below. There will be a sign-up
sheet at the event. You must sign-in at the event then compose an essay between 400—500 words that addresses each of the following:
- Summarize the topics covered.
- Explain how these topics impact teaching and learning.
- Describe how you will be able to use these ideas in your future teaching
career.
Please
begin your essay with the event title and date that you attended.
Submit your completed essay as a MS Word document (.doc or .docx) to
the Assignments area of eLearning by 3 pm on March 24. Do not exceed
500 words.

Find out about the challenges PreK-12 teachers face as they attempt to
integrate technology and new earth science and/or math based programs
into the classroom while still meeting their school’s needs to increase
student achievement. Talk with the teachers to hear how their school is
attempting to meet NCLB requirements. Talk with the students to hear
first-hand how they view using technology as a learning tool. Ask the
students how they view hands-on, interactive science and math based
programs as a means of teaching and learning!
