Departments can sponsor individual guests by contacting Kathy Green or Barb
Shepard (with advance notice to assure accommodation), WRC 101, (319) 273-6275.  If the guest is expected to purchase the guest pass, the department provides authorization in advance and arranges for the guest to visit the WRS Office during office hours to purchase the guest pass and pick up the Pass Card. If the department plans to pay for the guest pass, arrangements for payment need to be made.

The University requires that Foundation Accounts only be used to pay for WRS guest passes. While passes for personal guests and Alumni Association members can be purchased only on a daily basis, passes for departmentally sponsored guests can be arranged for longer periods:

Because of the large volume of traffic and activities in the WRC, a two (2) week notice for requesting passes is requested. The department should contact either Tim Klatt, (319) 273-7120, or Chris Denison, (319) 273-7160, WRC 101, to discuss dates, times, facility availability and arrangements.

Upon request and approval, the sponsoring department will need to provide a list of
sponsored guest names and the time frame the guests will be on campus. This may be faxed to Wellness and Recreation Services (319)273-7130, sent via campus mail (WRS, WRC 101, zip 0201) sent via email or delivered in person.

If the group members will be personally purchasing their guests passes, they will need to stop at the Wellness and Recreation Services office, WRC 101, during regular business hours to purchase and pick up the guest pass. Photo identification will be required for validation purposes.

If the department plans to pay for the guest passes, Wellness and Recreation Services can initiate an interdepartmental transfer. Be prepared to furnish a department foundation account number for this method of payment and to make arrangements for the individuals to obtain their pass cards.

The guest pass will be dated for the eligible user period and needs to be presented along with photo identification each time the guest accesses the WRC.
