One of
the highlights of my summer was a European river cruise with my family
and best friends. We traveled from Paris to Germany, then up several
German Rivers to Prague in the Czech Republic.

Another
special
event was my middle daughter Sara's graduation from her Masters
Program in Structural Engineering at the University of Illinois -
Champaign-Urbana. What a proud mama I am! Sara will be working with an
engineering firm in downtown Chicago (my original hometown) that builds
nuclear power plants.

The Third Annual
3 day Iowa Irish Fest
(one of my hubby's favorite projects)
took place
in downtown Waterloo the
first weekend of August. Lots of the
extended
Walsh family (and thousands
and thousands of others) made it to town for the
celebration. |

| Besides the 15 or so Irish bands
at the Fest, I saw many other performers live during the summer,
including
Counting Crows, Dierks Bentley, Jason Aldean, Kenny Chesney, Little Big
Town, Lady Antebellum, Taylor Swift, and Glen Campbell! I like lots of music but have
one particular addiction! |

My favorite performer is
guitar-god Keith Urban whose concerts cannot be beat. In 2009

Daughter Annie won a pair of backstage passes from a

to stand on either side of Keith in their photo, so I was a little
jealous!
