2009-2010 Academic Year

United Faculty (UF) aims to fully inform all UNI faculty members about issues related to the current budget crisis, as well as,issues that directly relate to the current Master Agreement [July 1, 2009 through June 30, 2011]. This web page will provide faculty information on the State Budget Crisis and meetings presentations and documents that relate to UF's continuing work with UNI faculty, administrators, and the Iowa Board of Regents to deal with state funding shortfalls to UNI's 2010 fiscal year budget. The Central Committee meets on the first Friday of each month during the academic year at 3:30 to 5:00 PM with the exception of January. All UF members are invited to attend these meetings. Our next meeting will be on November 6th from 3:30-5 PM in Curris room 319. We appreciate the support of the many UNI faculty who have joined UF to assist its efforts in protecting faculty jobs, salaries and benefits at our university. We are grateful for this support in these challenging times of state budget cuts and uncertainties with respect to continued funding for academic programs and the faculty who teach within them.
