UNI Online is a compilation of notices to be distributed to faculty and staff. The deadline for submission is noon, the day before publication. UNI Online is distributed on Tuesday and Thursday mornings. Submitted items must be sponsored by a UNI department, program or organization. No commercial or personal announcements are allowed. Announcements must have news, not opinion content. News items may be submitted via the UNI Online Submission Form.  = New items.

Within MyUNIverse, the Academics and Finances tabs have been consolidated into the newly created Resources tab. All Legacy pagelets were removed. Faculty Center and Adviser Center are available under the Resources tab. Improvements have also been made for students. UNI Police will host V.I.D.S. training sessions starting Nov. 1, in the State College Room, MAU. V.I.D.S. training is designed to help individuals increase their decision-making ability and chances of surviving an active-shooter or violent incident. The supplemental retirement plan contribution limit is increasing from $17,000 to $17,500 in 2013. The catch-up contribution for those age 50 or over remains at $5,500. Additional contributions can help increase financial security in retirement. The auction for surplus items from Malcolm Price Lab School is Nov. 7, 8 and 9. The schedule for the auction is as follows: Nov. 7, science, industrial tech and art items; Nov. 8, music and athletic/PE items; Nov. 9, lower and middle elementary items. Lindsay Cohn, political science, will share some of the games and simulations she uses in her classes from noon to 1 p.m., Wednesday, Nov. 14, in the Presidential Room, MAU.
