UNI Online is a compilation of notices to be distributed to faculty and staff. The deadline for submission is noon, the day before publication. UNI Online is distributed on Tuesday and Thursday mornings. Submitted items must be sponsored by a UNI department, program or organization. No commercial or personal announcements are allowed. The Student Social Work Association will host a clothing drive through Dec. 2. Donations will go to The House of Hope. Baby, toddler, child and adult clothes are needed, as well as toys, diapers, household items and cleaning supplies. Boxes will be placed in all residential hall offices, Maucker Union and the Wesley Foundation.

The UNI Police Division, along with other agencies in Iowa, will patrol the streets over the Thanksgiving holidays from Nov. 21 through 27. Motorists are urged to buckle up every trip, every time and obey all traffic laws during the holiday. Impaired driving will be targeted as part of this effort, along with night time seatbelt enforcement. This is part of the Iowa Special Traffic Enforcement Program (STEP). Students from the UNI Masters of Public Policy program are conducting a short survey for a class project on exploring attitudes toward transgender individuals. Results are completely anonymous and will not be published or reported outside of the class. Turning Technologies will offer an introductory session about clickers at 5:30 p.m., Thursday, Dec. 1, in 138 ITTC. This session, Effective Clicker Questions & Basic TurningPoint Use, will cover how to ask effective clicker questions and how to use the polling software TurningPoint. A TIAA CREF representative will be on campus conducting one-on-one counseling sessions Nov. 29 and 30 and Dec. 14 and 15. Questions such as is your investment mix appropriate; are you saving enough to maintain your lifestyle in retirement; and how to use funds for income in retirement are all topics the TIAA CREF representative can help with.
