CLOSED FIRE DOORS ARE IMPORTANT

Almost every door on campus that has a self-closing device is a fire door. These doors are an integral part of the engineered fire and life-safety features of the building. It's common to find these doors propped open for various reasons. These doors must remain closed, or a device should be added to them so they will close automatically upon a fire alarm. For more information, call 273-2004. Visit the Environmental Health & safety website under "Safety Tips - Fire Safety - Fire Doors" to learn about the importance of properly functioning fire doors.
