UNI Online is a compilation of notices to be distributed to faculty and staff. The deadline for submission is noon, the day before publication. UNI Online is distributed on Tuesday and Thursday mornings. Submitted items must be sponsored by a UNI department, program or organization. No commercial or personal announcements are allowed. Announcements must have news, not opinion content. News items may be submitted via the UNI Online Submission Form.= New items.
Beginning at 6 a.m., Wednesday, June 13 through Sunday, June 17, OBIEE Reporting will be unavailable due to data warehouse and application upgrades. The plan is to have OBIEE available for reporting by the start of work on Monday, June 18. All existing OBIEE reports and the ability to create OBIEE reports will be unavailable during this time. There may be some issues to work out following the upgrade. While service should be available by the start of work that day, expect brief outages to occur. Chris Larimer, political science, will be on KWWL at 10 p.m., Tuesday, June 6 assisting with primary election coverage. He was recently quoted in a story in the Des Moines Register.
Gilchrist Hall has been designated as a polling location for the June 5 primary election. Polls will be open from 7 a.m. to 9 p.m. Certain parking meters on the west side of Gilchrist Hall will be designated for voters only. Questions may be directed to Milissa Wright at 273-2712.

Once again, UNI will host a Parent Hospitality area during freshman summer orientation sessions. Share your enthusiasm for UNI with the parents of our newest students. Faculty and staff assistance is needed to help staff the booth in the coffeehouse in Maucker Union. Volunteers will visit with parents of prospective students from 5 to 6:15 p.m., Mondays and Thursdays, June 7, 11, 14, 18, 21, 25 and 28, and July 2 and 9. President Allen and provost Gibson will host a farewell reception in honor of Philip Mauceri, dean of the College of Social & Behavioral Sciences, from 2 to 4 p.m., Wednesday, June 13, in the Georgian Lounge, COM. A program will start at 2:30 p.m. Mauceri has accepted a position as provost and vice president of academic affairs at SUNY New Paltz.
The ITS department will host a retirement reception for Jack Miller from 2 to 4 p.m., Wednesday, June 13, in the ITTC first-floor student lounge. Stop by and wish Jack well as he retires after 20 years at UNI as the ITS Computer Consulting Center manager.
The Office of the President will host an open house to honor Jane Larson, who is retiring after 30 years of service at UNI. The open house will be held from 3 to 4:30 p.m., Wednesday, June 20, in the Great Reading Room, SRL. There will be a short program at 3:30 p.m. Come wish Jane well in her retirement.

OSP is forming a UNI National Institutes of Health (NIH) ad hoc review group. As a member you would review one to two UNI NIH grant proposals per year, and in return could have your own proposal reviewed. Walking is a low-impact exercise with numerous health benefits. Take advantage of the nice weather and improve your health simultaneously. This workshop will provide tips on how to get the most out of a walking program. Get a customized program, and strength and core training exercises to supplement your walking. The workshop is from 4:45 to 5:45 p.m., Tuesday, June 19, and costs $15. The workshop is available to students, faculty, staff and spouses. Men's Health Week is June 11 through 17 and is designed to encourage men to improve their physical and mental health and to encourage early disease detection. The personal fitness department at the WRC will offer fitness assessments June 11 through 17 for the discounted price of $15. Fitness assessments include resting heart rate, blood pressure, body composition, measurements, cardiovascular, strength and flexibility. Assessments are tailored specifically to you and your goals.
