July 1 through 4, UNI Police will participate in a special Traffic Enforcement Program (sTEP) to promote safe holiday travel. Iowa law enforcement officers are asking every Iowan who gets behind the wheel to buckle up and drive responsibly. The sTEP projects are funded by the Governor’s Traffic Safety Bureau through the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration. This money helps increase the number of officers on roadways across the state during holiday travel. For more information, contact UNI Police at 273-2712.
