There were some technical problems in the earlier announcement, along with a slight change made to the presentation. The name of the sick leave code Emergency Leave is changing to Family Caregiving Leave. The change was made to clarify the intended use of the benefit. The definition has not changed, and the time used will continue to reduce accrued sick leave. As of Feb. 19, employees have the time card option Family Caregiving Leave, in place of Emergency Leave. For more information and examples of when this leave code would apply, please listen to the online presentation. Additional information, and an accessible script can be found on the Human Resources Services website. For more information, email Therese Callaghan or call 273-6164.
