UNI Online is a compilation of notices to be distributed to faculty and staff. The deadline for submission is noon, the day before publication. UNI Online is distributed on Tuesday and Thursday mornings. Submitted items must be sponsored by a UNI department, program or organization. No commercial or personal announcements are allowed. Announcements must have news, not opinion content. News items may be submitted via the UNI Online Submission Form.

UNI UP CLOSE MATERIALSNEW

The dates for UNI Up Close are Friday, Feb. 15 and 22. If you need assistance with promotional materials to distribute, please submit your request to Univeristy Relations no later than Friday, Jan. 18.

UNI IS ON TOP PRODUCERS OF U.S. FULBRIGHT SCHOLARS 2012-2013 LISTNEW

UNI is on the Top Producers of U.S. Fulbright Scholars 2012-2013 list that appeared in the Chronicle of Higher Education. http://chronicle.com/article/Top-Producers-of-US/135456/  Fulbright Scholar Program campus representatives Mohammed Rawwas, Jessica Moon and Nadia Korobova continue to promote the Fulbright Program’s goals of fostering leadership and increasing mutual understanding between the United States and other countries.

HOURS FOR PARKING OPERATIONSNEW

Have a parking permit to return or violation to pay? Please observe the following hours of operation: open 8 a.m. to 5 p.m., Wednesday, Jan. 2 through Friday, Jan. 4. Normal office hours of 8 a.m. to 6 p.m., Mondays through Thursdays, and 8 a.m. to 5 p.m., Fridays, will resume Jan. 7.

MAUCKER UNION, ROD LIBRARY AND WRC BUILDING HOURS FOR WINTER BREAKNEW

SNEAK PEEK AT 'INSIDE UNI'

"Inside UNI" will be unveiled in mid-January, replacing UNI Online and MyUNIverse News. Inside UNI is a brand new, one-stop communication website showcasing UNI's top headlines, campus announcements, upcoming events and campus stories. Inside UNI is customized for faculty, staff and students and highlights daily campus announcements, faculty, staff and student honors and awards. Faculty, staff and students will be able to submit announcements, accolades and share news and feature story ideas. Stay tuned for more details and instructions in January.

POLICIES FOR YOUTH ACTIVITIES, PROGRAMS AND CAMPS

In an effort to enhance the safety and security of youth participating in activities held on campus or in affiliation with UNI departments or organizations, several policies are under development. Visit the Enterprise Risk Management Council website www.vpaf.uni.edu/ermc and click on the link "Proposed Policy Review." To have specific changes considered for the final drafts, please send an email itemizing those changes policy-comment@uni.edu no later than Friday, Jan. 4. ST. JUDE CARDS FOR KIDS COLLECTION

Used greeting cards can be recycled by donating them to St. Jude Children's Hospital. The RRTTC will collect greeting cards of any kind - birthday, holiday, sympathy, etc. to donate to St. Jude. The recycled cards raise money for services provided to children and families at the hospital. Drop boxes are at the following locations: Maucker Union, Wellness and Recreation Center, the CEEE, SEC Lobby, Gilchrist Hall, Rod Library, Piazza and Rialto Dining Centers.

OPPORTUNITIES

SUSTAINABILITY DIALOGUE AND ACTIONNEW

A conference on envisioning a sustainable world and the transformation needed to create it will take place April 12 and 13 at UNI. Students, faculty, staff and the community are invited to attend this free, two-day conference. Guest speakers include Majora Carter, Andres Edwards and Winona LaDuke. There will be poster sessions, breakout visioning sessions and lectures on various topics of interest. More information and registration will be available soon.
