UNI Online is a compilation of notices to be distributed to faculty and staff. The deadline for submission is noon, the day before publication. UNI Online is distributed on Tuesday and Thursday mornings. Submitted items must be sponsored by a UNI department, program or organization. No commercial or personal announcements are allowed. Announcements must have news, not opinion content. News items may be submitted via the UNI Online Submission Form.  = New items.

UNI has actively participated in the Federal TEACH Grant Program since its inception five years ago. At the national level, UNI is currently the No. 1 public university in administering the TEACH Grant. This is one of the factors in the overall decline of UNI student debt. More information is available on the financial aid website.
International Education Week is an opportunity to celebrate the benefits of international education and exchange worldwide. Anyone can participate by proposing an event or series of events. Events may include, but are not limited to: information tables in Maucker Union and other locations, information sessions, lectures, discussion panels, international movies, conversation tables, presentations, etc. To submit an event, email event planner Kristen Hora with the following: event title, brief description, preferred date, time and contact person. The deadline for submitting an event is Friday, Nov. 2.
As campaigns become increasingly active in advance of the November elections, please review the university policy on political activity. While UNI respects the right of its employees and students to actively engage in the political process, state and federal laws generally prohibit the use of the university and its resources to promote partisan political causes, campaigns and candidates. Employees and students are encouraged to read and understand the boundaries of involvement of the university in the political process. The deadline to register for Campus Connexus is Sept. 13. Campus Connexus is a great way for faculty and staff to build professional and scholarly ties across campus in an informal social setting. Campus Connexus will be held from 4 to 6:30 p.m., Sept. 27, in the Commons.

This non-residential host family program has served the needs of thousands of international students since 1965. An invitation to a home, a shared meal or a night of games can create a lasting memory that adds value to their educational experience at UNI.
