UNI Online is a compilation of notices to be distributed to faculty and staff. The deadline for submission is noon, the day before publication. UNI Online is distributed on Tuesday and Thursday mornings. Submitted items must be sponsored by a UNI department, program or organization. No commercial or personal announcements are allowed. Several SIS applications will be unavailable from 2 to 8 a.m., Saturday, Dec. 1. UNI’s Center for Violence Prevention is creating a new certification for undergraduate students to learn strategies for reducing violence and bullying. The program is highlighted in the most recent issue of the Panther Caucus. Students will learn how to identify types of bullying and gender violence, signs and symptoms of unhealthy relationships, and best practices in prevention. http://www.unialum.org/panther-caucus
UNI will hold an auction on Monday, Dec. 3, at Malcolm Price Lab School. Sale items include surplus dining equipment from the Department of Residence and remaining items at MPLS. 2012-13 Capacity Building Grant funds are now available through the Office of the Vice President and Provost and the Iowa NSF EPSCoR program for the purpose of building UNI's capacity for scholarship, research and creative activities, to support interdisciplinary work, and to enhance the ability of faculty and staff to apply and compete for external funding.
