UNI Online is distributed on Tuesday and Thursday mornings. Submitted items must be sponsored by a UNI department, program or organization. No commercial or personal announcements are allowed. Announcements must have news, not opinion content. News items may be submitted via the UNI Online Submission Form.

EXPECT HEAVY TRAFFIC FOR IHSAA FOOTBALL PLAYOFFSNEW

LIBRARY HOURS DURING THANKSGIVING BREAKNEW

Library hours during Thanksgiving break are posted online. http://www.library.uni.edu/about-us/hours-maps/exam-holiday-interim-hours#thanks Youth books checked out anytime on Saturday, Nov. 10 are due Monday, Nov. 26. Patrons may check out materials and enter the building until 10 minutes to closing time, at which time service desks close and the doors are locked. Library online resources are available 24/7; if off campus, you will get a prompt to enter your CatID.

EARLY PROCESSING OF STUDENT BIWEEKLY TIME CARDS FOR NOVEMBER

Nov. 17 is the cutoff date for the Nov. 28 biweekly payday. Because of the Thanksgiving holiday, time cards will be processed early and must be approved by 10 a.m., Tuesday, Nov. 20 to be included in the Nov. 28 paycheck.

OPEN ENROLLMENT DEADLINE - MERIT HEALTH INSURANCE

All benefits-eligible Merit employees have until Nov. 16 to make changes to or enroll in health insurance. Changes and new enrollment will be effective Jan. 1, 2013. OPEN ENROLLMENT DEADLINE - FSA & VISION INSURANCE

All benefits-eligible employees have until Friday, Nov. 16 to make changes to or enroll in a Flexible Spending Account or vision insurance for the 2013 calendar year. You must re-enroll in FSA every year to participate. Visit the Human Resources website for more information.

2013 SUPPLEMENTAL RETIREMENT CONTRIBUTION LIMITS

The supplemental retirement plan contribution limit is increasing from $17,000 to $17,500 in 2013. The catch-up contribution for those age 50 or over remains at $5,500. Additional contributions can help increase financial security in retirement.
