Deedee Heistad has been named Liberal Arts Core director. She'll be responsible for providing leadership, vision and advocacy for the LAC and will represent the provost’s office on all matters related to the LAC. She is currently a member of the LAC Review Steering Committee and is a member of the leadership team for the university’s participation in the HLC Assessment Academy, which is designed to help UNI develop and implement an assessment plan for the new LAC.

Effective immediately, the cost of soda in the Pepsi vending machines has increased to $1.50. This price increase is consistent with other increases in the cost of Pepsi products around campus and in other Pepsi vending venues around the area. A beginning violin or viola class will be offered by the UNI Suzuki School. The sessions begin with parent classes followed by twice weekly group sessions for young students ages 4 to 6. Following this introductory period, students will be assigned an individual lesson teacher and have an individual lesson and a group lesson each week until the end of the spring semester.
