UNI Online is a compilation of notices to be distributed to faculty and staff. The deadline for submission is noon, the day before publication. UNI Online is distributed on Tuesday and Thursday mornings. Submitted items must be sponsored by a UNI department, program or organization. No commercial or personal announcements are allowed. Announcements must have news, not opinion content. News items may be submitted via the UNI Online Submission Form.  = New items.

Feb. 1 has been designated Digital Learning Day, a national awareness campaign to celebrate innovative teachers and instructional strategies. Iowa is one of 27 states participating. If you or your department have plans to participate or have resources to offer, please email Liz Conklin by Jan. 13.
UNI's McLeod Center and the UNI-Dome are the sites for the Black Hawk County Republican Caucus Jan. 3. The doors open at 5:30. This will mean increased traffic on Hudson Road.
If you have not pledged or given to the Annual Faculty Staff Campaign, there is still time. You can give to the area of your choice online or by returning the envelope you received earlier this fall.

UNI faculty and staff are invited to "You 'n I: The Diversity Shuffle," from 1:30 to 3 p.m., Tuesday, Jan. 17. This 90-minute program is a non-threatening way to explore individual and cultural differences in a one-on-one format. Participants will spend five structured minutes with 10 new colleagues. Limited to 60 participants.
The UNI wrestling team will open home dual meet action on Friday, Jan. 6 when they host Northern Colorado at 7 p.m. in the West Gym. Tickets to the dual are just $1, and can be purchased at the door, in advance at a UNItix box office, online or by calling 273-4849.
The Gallagher-Bluedorn PAC ticket office will be closed during winter break. The McLeod Center ticket office will be open during this time. Both offices will be closed Dec. 23 through 26. For more information, call 273-4849 or visit the box office online.
Faculty and staff who are not paid users of the WRC, may use WRC facilities free-of-charge from 6 a.m. to 6:30 p.m., Jan. 3 through 6, by presenting a UNI ID at the Welcome Desk. You may also bring your spouse and tax dependent children with you. Check hours for specific activity areas.
