The Graduate College is coordinating the selection of a UNI undergraduate senior or graduate student candidate to be considered for the 2006-2007 Rotary Foundation Ambassadorial Scholarship program. The Rotary Foundation has provided graduate and advanced undergraduate study opportunities (U.S. $25,000 maximum) for outstanding yourg people to attend for an academic year a college or university in another of the many countries of the world in which there are Rotary Clubs.

The Rotary scholarship covers round-trip air transportation; required tuition and academic fees; books and educational suplies; on-campus room and board, if available, or an allowance for living costs and limited costs of educational travel during the award year. Student candidates must be proficient in the language of the foreign location in which the intended institution of study is located. Rotary scholars are expected to be outstanding ambassadors of good will both overseas and at home by making appearances before Rotary clubs and district meetings and school and civic groups.
