ARGANBRIGHT AWARDED NCAA POST-GRADUATE SCHOLARSHIP

Indianapolis, Ind. – Record-setting UNI volleyball setter Jill Arganbright (Iowa City, Iowa/West) received another honor recently, as she has been awarded an NCAA postgraduate scholarship, the NCAA announced.

Arganbright receives one of the 87 grants the NCAA awards annually to female student-athletes who excel academically and athletically and are in their last year of intercollegiate athletics competition. This is a one-time grant of $7,500.

A 2003 first-team CoSIDA Academic All-American, Arganbright ended her career with a UNI and Missouri Valley Conference record 6,064 assists, which also ranks her 12^th in NCAA history. A four-time first-team all-conference selection, she helped lead the Panthers to a 152-17 record during her time at UNI with three NCAA Sweet 16 appearances. She was an AVCA All-Central Region pick in both 2002 and 2003.

Majoring in biology/biomedical at UNI, Arganbright was a 2002 second-team Academic All-American, and a three-time member of the Missouri Valley Conference All-Academic team.
