A presidential search website has been created. Visit the site often for updates. The Board of Regents, State of Iowa, will host an open forum from 4:30 to 6 p.m., Monday, Sept. 17, in the Commons Ballroom. The purpose of the open forum will be to receive comments from the university community relative to the qualities and characteristics of the next UNI president.

Looking for ways to expand your skill set, make a difference, enhance your resume or meet new friends? Attend the Student Organization Fair, from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m., Wednesday Sept. 5, outside of Maucker Union. In the event of inclement weather, the fair will be held in the Ballroom, MAU. Connecting to wireless at UNI is now much easier. First, connect to the wireless network WiFi-UNI-Setup. Then open a Web browser and use the wizard to configure your WiFi device. You will be prompted for your AD Lab or workstation login credentials. When the process is complete, you will be automatically connected to WiFi-UNI. Free bike tune-ups will be provided by Bike Tech, from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m., Wednesday, Sept. 5, north of Maucker Union. Sponsored by Wellness & Recreation Services.
Panther Village, the newest UNI Department of Residence community, will be dedicated from 3 to 5 p.m., Thursday, Sept. 6. The program will begin at 3:15 p.m. and tours will follow. Panther Village is home to 204 students in one-, two- and four-person apartments. The hallmarks of Panther Village include meticulous attention to quality, sustainability, comfort and convenience. Phase II of Panther Village will open fall 2013.
Students can recycle old cell phones and rechargeable batteries at several on- campus locations. Look for the green and blue cardboard recycling boxes at Rod Library, the WRC, Schindler Education Center, Maucker Union and the CEEE.
Students who present at a conference or have received a merit-based invitation to compete or perform at an intercollegiate activity may apply for travel funds through the Intercollegiate Academic Fund. What does it mean to have academic integrity in college? Come to a session to learn how and why to avoid plagiarism on papers, how to collaborate with others on class work, and how to interact ethically with professors and fellow students. The session will take place from 2 to 4 p.m., Tuesday, Sept. 11, in the University Room, MAU. Refreshments will be provided. Click here to register for the session.
Sept. 7 is the last day to add a full-semester course for credit for any student. Departmental approval on the student request form is required. Sept. 7 is the last day to change a full-semester course to or from audit, to drop first half-semester course without an "F" and to change a first half-semester course to or from Pass/Fail grading basis.
