The first campus-wide test of the UNI Alert system for this school year is scheduled for Wednesday, Oct. 3. Please check your emergency notification contact data and make sure it is up to date. Log in to MyUNIverse > Update Personal Information > UNI Alert.

UNIVERSITY SCHOLARSHIP APPLICATION NOW AVAILABLE NEW

The 2013-14 UNIversity Scholarship Application is now available. Undergraduate students can apply for scholarships within their major, as well as the hundreds of general university scholarships available to students of any major. The most common scholarship deadline for current students is Jan. 15. Begin your search now. Contact the Office of Student Financial Aid in 105 GIL or call 273-2700 if you have questions.

ACE MEMO ON CAMPUS POLITICAL ACTIVITYNEW

With the 2012 presidential race in full swing, the American Council on Education's Division of Government & Public Affairs has issued a memo on Campus Political Campaign Activities.

ANONYMOUS REPORTING IS AVAILABLE ON THE WEBNEW

UNI has selected EthicsPoint to provide for the anonymous and confidential reporting of financial misconduct that may involve criminal, unethical, or otherwise inappropriate behavior in violation of university policy or state law. Individuals may file a report on the EthicsPoint website or by calling EthicsPoint toll-free at 866-ETHICP (866-384-4277). Reports submitted through EthicsPoint will be handled as promptly, discreetly and carefully as possible.

UNI SELECTED AS G.I. FRIENDLY CAMPUS FOR THIRD YEARNEW

UNI has been selected by G.I. Jobs Magazine as a Military Friendly School for 2013, an honor placing the university in the top 15 percent of schools doing the most to embrace America's veterans as students. Read the news release in UNI's Newsroom.

IRB TRAINING WORKSHOP FOR UNDERGRADSNEW

The Office of Sponsored Programs, the Graduate College and the honors program will present four academic ethics training workshops for undergraduate and graduate students during the fall semester. Students are invited to participant in one or more workshops. Refreshments will be provided. The first session will take place from 2 to 4 p.m., Wednesday, Sept. 26, in the University Room, MAU. Registration is required.

REGISTRATION FOR 2012 DISABILITY AWARENESS SUMMITNEW

UNI will host the 2012 Iowa Regents Institutions Disability Awareness Summit from 9 a.m. to 3:30 p.m., Oct. 10, in the Commons. The Disability Summit is open to all UNI students, faculty and staff, as well as those from other Regents institutions. The Office of International Programs is compiling a comprehensive interpreter/translator database. If you are proficient in a foreign language and willing to offer occasional interpreter/translator services, please fill out a new Interpreter/Translator Interest Form on the International Services Office website.
