Students are encouraged to attend the UNI Career Fair from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m., Monday, Sept. 17, in the McLeod Center. More than 120 organizations and graduate/professional schools will talk with UNI students. The UNI Interview Day is from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m., Tuesday, Sept. 18, in the Maucker Union Old Central Ballroom. Students need to arrange interviews at the Career Fair.
Helen Haire has begun her role as the new chief of police and director of public safety at UNI. Haire replaces Milissa Wright, who has served as interim director of public safety since April, following the retirement of David Zarifis. Wright will return to her university position as associate director of public safety.

International Education Week is an opportunity to celebrate the benefits of international education and exchange worldwide. Anyone can participate by proposing an event or series of events. Events may include, but are not limited to: information tables in Maucker Union and other locations, information sessions, lectures, discussion panels, international movies, conversation tables, presentations, etc. To submit an event, email event planner Kristen Hora with the following: event title, brief description, preferred date, time and contact person. The deadline for submitting an event is Friday, Nov. 2.
