PRESIDENTIAL SEARCH COMMITTEE NARROWS FIELD TO NINE CANDIDATESNEW

The UNI Presidential Search and Screen Committee met on Jan. 3 and narrowed its list of candidates to nine. The committee will travel to Minneapolis Jan. 11-12 to conduct interviews. At that point, a small number of candidates will be selected for campus visits scheduled to begin Jan. 21. The committee's final recommendations are expected to be provided to the Board of Regents, State of Iowa by Feb. 1. The search process information is online.  http://www.uni.edu/presidential-search/

Learn about real world financial matters at 6 p.m., Jan. 28, in the University Room, MAU. Learn how to track your spending, how credit cards work, how to save and invest wisely, how to buy a car, how to buy a home, taxes, insurance and more. We give away $100 at every meeting and there will be an exam at the end of the semester where the person with the highest score will win $1,000 in cash.

Take advantage of free online video training.  http://lynda.uni.edu Almost 1,000 video courses were viewed in the past six months by UNI faculty, staff and students. Your CatID provides access to the Lynda.com Online Training Library, which contains more than 1,100 courses and 66,000 video tutorials anytime, anywhere with Internet access. Learn about Google Apps, Blackboard, MS Office, Drupal, Adobe Creative Suite, Photography, Sharepoint, etc.

UNI's new Inside UNI for faculty, staff and students will feature accomplishments in the areas of grants, awards, honors and service. At this time, presentations and publications won't be included.
