FOLLON SCHOLARSHIP DEADLINE NEW

The applications for the Sue Follon Scholarship for Women in Leadership are due no later than Jan. 15. This is a $4,000 one-year award. Applications and minimum requirements are available at the Common Scholarship Application website. http://www.uni.edu/finaid/

INTERESTED IN GRAD SCHOOL? APPLY FOR MCELROY FELLOWSHIPNEW

Information about McElroy Fellowships is now available. http://www.uni.edu/competitive-scholarships/fellowships-mambaphd-studies. Candidates must intend to pursue a Ph.D. and must have graduated in December 2012 or will graduate in May 2013 with a liberal arts degree. The award is $10,000 per year for three years. In addition to an above-average academic record, students will be evaluated on their character, leadership and general interests as expressed by extracurricular activities. EARLY PROCESSING OF STUDENT BIWEEKLY TIMECARDS FOR DECEMBERNEW

Dec. 15 is the cutoff date for the Dec. 26 biweekly payday. Because of the Christmas holiday, timecards will be processed early and must be approved by 10 a.m., Tuesday, Dec. 18 to be included in the Dec. 26 paycheck.

DE-STRESS DAYSNEW

De-Stress Days will be held in the Maucker Union from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m., Dec. 10, 11 and 12. The following activities will take place in the ballroom: mini massages, a Labyrinth, crafts and more. Students also can interact with puppies and kittens from the Cedar Bend Humane Society in front of Chats.

VIOLENT INCIDENT DEFENSE STRATEGIES (V.I.D.S.)NEW

UNI Police will host additional Violent Incident Defense Strategies (V.I.D.S.) training sessions in December in the State College Room, MAU. V.I.D.S. training is designed to help individuals increase their decision-making ability and chances of surviving an active-shooter or violent incident. BISCOTTI'S RELOCATES TO SHULL HALL FOR SPRING SEMESTERNEW

Biscotti’s convenience store and bakery and the computer lab in Redeker Center will be relocated to the lower level of Shull Hall for spring semester 2013. LIBRARY HOURS FOR FINAL EXAM WEEK

Library hours for Dec. 5 through 11 are extended hours. http://www.library.uni.edu/about-us/hours-maps/exam-holiday-interim-hours#fallfinals.  Patrons may check out materials and enter the building until 10 minutes to closing time, when service desks close and the doors are locked. Library online resources are available 24/7; if off campus, there will be a prompt to enter your CatID.
