Stop by Lawther Field between noon and 3 p.m., Friday, Sept. 23 and create your own Pop-Tart shake. Also enjoy some inflatable fun and other activities. This event was made possible by a UNI student who won 100,000 Pop-Tarts in a contest. A majority of the Pop-Tarts went to charity; 5,000 Pop Tarts were donated to UNI. Sponsored in part by the UNI Residence Hall Association.
The Rho Epsilon Golf Outing takes place Friday, Sept. 23, with a 10 a.m. shotgun start at Pheasant Ridge Golf Course. Breakfast/registration is at 9 a.m. The $35 fee includes green fees, cart, breakfast, dinner, polo golf shirt and prizes. This golf outing is a great way to network with employers. Sign up in the finance department office or contact Travis VanderLinden at vanderlt@uni.edu. Also, feel free to come on Friday even if you didn’t sign up.
Recently renovated Sabin Hall will be rededicated at 1 p.m., Friday, Sept. 23. Following the ceremony will be a reception and building tours. The Lt. Governor and other special guests will speak. The Graduate Program in Public Policy will celebrate its 20th anniversary later that day with a reception at 4 p.m., in the building atrium. A panel of public policy alumni will discuss "Current Issues in Community Development" at 11 a.m., in University Room, MAU. All events are open to the campus community.
UNI's performing dance companies Orchesis and International Dance Theatre will present a Family Weekend show at 7:30 p.m., Friday, Sept. 23, in the Strayer Wood Theater. Featured will be some of last year's hits plus new work by director Jason Schadt. Admission is free. The shows are suitable for the entire family. Take a musical world tour at 7:30 p.m., Friday, Sept. 23, in the Great Hall, GBPAC. The 30th Annual Scholarship Benefit concert will feature music by guest artist Sheri Greenawald, the Northern Iowa Symphony Orchestra, the UNI Opera Ensemble, Kaji-Daiko Taiko Ensemble, Jazz Band One, faculty artists Sean Botkin, piano, and Jeff Brich, tenor, alumni performers from the UNI flute studio, UNI Symphonic Band with combined choirs, as well as the Northern Iowa Wind Symphony with the Varsity Men’s Glee Club. Proceeds from the concert benefit scholarships for current School of Music students. For tickets, call 273-4TIX.

Camp Adventure Child & Youth Services will be a part of the College of Education Family Weekend. There will be a Camp Adventure presentation at 11:30 a.m. in SEC 244/245. Please stop by the booth at the open house from 10:30 a.m. to noon. Come experience the magic of Camp Adventure and learn about what the program has to offer.
The Rialto Dining Center will host a Family Feast Tailgate from 11:30 a.m. to 1:15 p.m., Saturday, Sept. 24.
The UNI football team will take on the Western Illinois Leathernecks at 4 p.m., Saturday, Sept. 24, in the UNI-Dome.
The Panther Marching Band will dedicate a tree and plaque in memory of UNI student Anna Williams at the first home football game on Sept. 24. Love Anime? Then join the Northern Iowa Anime Association. The group meets every week at 4 p.m., in 115 SRL, and watches a huge variety of Anime. Saturday, Sept. 24 is Miyazaki Night. Featured will be two of his works based on votes by members.
"Cars 2" will be shown at 9 p.m., Saturday, Sept. 24, in the Ballroom MAU. Bring your family and relax after a day of tailgating and cheering for the Panthers. Free popcorn and pop and enter to win a prize if you bring a family member. Presented by Campus Activities Board.
