My UNI Weekend is a digest of weekend (Thursday - Sunday) entertainment and recreation opportunities at UNI, mailed on Thursday mornings during fall and spring semesters. Submission deadline is noon, Wednesday. Submissions will be rejected if sponsorship by a university department, program or organization is not clear.

FACULTY ARTIST RECITAL: JEFF BRICH, TENOR

UNI School of Music faculty artist Jeff Brich will present a voice recital at 6 p.m., Thursday, Nov. 10, in Davis Hall, GBPAC, with pianist to be announced. This event is free and open to the public.

CSA MEETING

The Communication Student Association (CSA) will host a guest speaker from Barumuda, at 6 p.m., Thursday, Nov. 10, in the College Eye Room, MAU. The speaker will discuss opportunities within the corporation as well as the history of how she has utilized her education. Contact unicsa2@gmail.com for more information.

SPOTLIGHT SERIES: UNI SYMPHONIC BAND & NORTHERN IOWA SYMPHONY ORCHESTRA

Under the direction of UNI School of Music professor and conductor S. Daniel Galyen, the Symphonic Band will present a shared fall concert with the Northern Iowa Symphony Orchestra, under the direction of Rebecca Burkhardt at 7:30 p.m., Thursday, Nov. 10, in Great Hall, GBPAC. The program will also feature faculty artist Sean Botkin performing Rachmaninoff's Piano Concerto No. 4 with the orchestra. This event is ticketed, but free to UNI students with their ID. POSTSECONDARY EDUCATION STUDENT AFFAIRS FALL PREVIEW DAY

The Postsecondary Education: Student Affairs M.A.E. program, in collaboration with the Division of Student Affairs, will host the Second Annual Fall Preview Day on Friday, Nov. 11. Individuals interested in learning more about the program and the Division of Student Affairs are invited to register. Check in will begin at 8:30 a.m., at Gilchrist Hall. PANTHER VOLLEYBALL AND WOMEN'S BASKETBALL HOME OPENER

On Friday, Nov. 11, UNI takes on the Bluejays from Creighton at 6 p.m.  There will be a salute to veterans - all military personnel receive free admission with a valid ID. Fans can stay for the women's basketball home opener against Colorado State which will take place following the volleyball match. UNI students receive free admission to all home athletic events. 

UNI TROMBONE STUDIO RECITAL

The UNI Trombone Studio will offer a fall concert at 6 p.m., Friday, Nov. 11, in Davis Hall, GBPAC. This event is free and open to the public.

CAMP ADVENTURE LEADERSHIP ASSESSMENT CENTER (INTERVIEW)

The Camp Adventure Youth Services program provides an opportunity for college students to participate in a valuable service-learning experience. UNI DEPARTMENT OF ART FACULTY EXHIBITION

This presentation of painting, drawing, printmaking, graphic design, motion graphics, sculpture, ceramics, photography, mixed media and installation art, features the most recent accomplishments of the faculty in the UNI Dept. of Art. Free. Open noon to 5 p.m. in the KAB.

UNI SWIMMING AND DIVING VS. SOUTH DAKOTA STATE

Come support the swimming and driving team as they compete against the SDSU Jackrabbits at 1 p.m., Saturday, Nov. 12, in the WRC Pool.

PANTHER VOLLEYBALL - FINAL REGULAR SEASON MATCH

On Saturday, Nov. 12, UNI hosts Drake in the final home match of the season at 4 p.m. Bre Payton and Michelle Burow will be recognized as part of Senior Day. Fans with a ticket to the football game at 6 p.m., receive free admission to the volleyball match. UNI students receive free admission to all home athletic events. 

ALPHA DELTA PI TAILGATE

Join the women of Alpha Delta Pi for a tailgate before the UNI football game from 2 to 6 p.m., Saturday, Nov. 12, in the UNI-Dome parking lot. The group will be selling hot dogs and hot chocolate to raise money for their philanthropy, the Ronald McDonald House. 

UNI FOOTBALL - FINAL HOME GAME

The UNI football team will take on the Southern Utah Thunderbirds while celebrating Senior Night, at 6 p.m., in the UNI-Dome.
