My UNI Weekend is a digest of weekend (Thursday - Sunday) entertainment and recreation opportunities at UNI, mailed on Thursday mornings during fall and spring semesters. Submission deadline is noon, Wednesday. Submissions will be rejected if sponsorship by a university department, program or organization is not clear. |

Eliasoph will discuss his experience in the communications field, as well as provide insight regarding how to successfully get involved with internships and jobs prior to college graduation. Northern Iowa Energy Corps is a new student organization whose mission statement is: "Expanding opportunities for students on campus to promote energy efficiency through education and outreach." The group has an open house every Thursday at 8 p.m., in the SIAC conference room (upper level of Maucker Union).
Jeneane Beck, UNI state relations officer, will host a legislative update at noon on Friday, Feb. 3, in the Elm Room, MAU. She will give an update on UNI's budget request and the governor's education reform package as well as take questions.

Visiting artist Philip Brisson will present an organ recital at 8 p.m., Friday, Feb. 3, in Jebe Hall, GBPAC. Brisson is on the faculty of Bellarmine University and as an organ soloist has given recitals throughout the United States. This event is free and open to the public.
