Iowa Safe Schools will host this workshop for education majors at 10 a.m. and 1 p.m., in the CME. How do you stop students from saying hurtful words and phrases? The College of Education is holding its first Education in Leaders Lecture Series, at 3:30 p.m., in the Maucker Union Old Central Ballroom. Featured keynote speaker is Sharon Robinson, president and CEO of the American Association of Colleges for Teacher Education. She will present "Envisioning a Premier Pre-K through 12 Teacher and Educational Leader Preparation Program: An Institutional Commitment." All faculty, staff and students are encouraged to attend.
Mrs. Grassley is scheduled to visit UNI to address students and staff on her experiences with breast cancer at 3 p.m., in SRL 115. Later Mrs. Grassley will attend UNI's annual "Breast Cancer Awareness" volleyball game at 7 p.m., in the McLeod Center. UNI Athletics will name Mrs. Grassley the honorary coach of the game.
