My UNI Weekend is a digest of weekend (Thursday - Sunday) entertainment and recreation opportunities at UNI, mailed on Thursday mornings during fall and spring semesters. Submission deadline is noon, Wednesday. Submissions will be rejected if sponsorship by a university department, program or organization is not clear.

THURSDAY EVENTS

'WHAT YOU WILL' ART EXHIBITION

“What You Will” is an invitational exhibition honoring Saturnalia, an ancient winter tradition celebrating revelry, misrule and inversion. It's part of a yearlong series of events featuring UNI Department of Art alumni titled "Time is Ripe." Participants include: Gillian Christy, Noah Doely, Pam Echeverria, Sarah German, Inok Kalkwarf, Matt Kelleher, Abinadi Meza, Chawne Paige, Angela Pease, Tyler Speicher, Trent Stainbrook and Margaret Whiting. Gallery hours are 9 a.m. to 9 p.m. Free.

VISIT THE PLANETARIUM

Visit UNI's Planetarium in LAT 105.  Two shows each Thursday at 7 and 8 p.m. The planetarium seats 25 and shows begin promptly on the hour.

SWIMMING

Swimming and Diving hosts Mankato State at 6 p.m., Friday, Jan. 14,  in the Glen F. Henry Swimming and Diving Pool in the UNI WRC.

SATURDAY EVENTS

TRACK & FIELD

Track and field hosts the Panther Open on Saturday, Jan. 15, in the UNI-Dome.

BASKETBALL

Men's basketball hosts Southern Illinois at 7 p.m., Saturday, Jan. 15, in the McLeod Center.
