UNI ALCOHOL TASK FORCE ASSEMBLED:

Recent national research has affirmed what those on college campuses have observed for many years -- excessive alcohol use by students leads to consequences such as crime, injury, academic failure, academic underperformance, poor health, addiction and damage to reputation. With that in mind, Terry Hogan, vice president for educational and student services, has established an alcohol task force to find ways to reduce the incidence of high-risk drinking and associated negative consequences at UNI. The group began meeting this spring and is charged with developing a needs assessment by February 2009.
