ACADEMIC ADVISING COUNCIL CREATED:Last year UNI's advising services went through an external evaluation by the National Academic Advising Association. One of the Association's recommendations was to create an advisory council to the Provost, charged with reviewing and assessing advising services, as well as with promoting the development and recognition of professional and faculty advisors. As a result of this recommendation, Interim Provost Lubker recently created an Undergraduate Academic Advising Council to help facilitate improvements to UNI's advising services. The group has started meeting regularly, and any comments or suggestions should be directed to Mike Licari michael.licari@uni.edu.
