Pick up new uCards from the Department of Residence in the Redeker
Center.

U-BILLS GOING ELECTRONIC:
Beginning in September 2004, u-bills will
be delivered electronically through MyUNIverse. Students with a balance
will receive an e-bill reminder in their university e-mail account
and should review bills through MyUNIverse. The August 2004 u-bill
will be sent to students in both formats, paper and electronic, to

CALL FOR ACTORS:Theatre
UNI will hold auditions for fall productions and audition workshops
for non-majors beginning Sunday, Aug. 22. Auditions are open to all

CIEP CONVERSATION PARTNERS:
The Culture & Intensive English Program
(CIEP) in Baker Hall teaches English to international students at
UNI. The CIEP matches each international student with an American
conversation partner. The partners meet for one hour each week, allowing
international students to improve their English and expand their understanding
of American culture. American students benefit by meeting new students
while developing greater cultural awareness and understanding. Sign

PA NEEDED: UNI
Softball is looking for a PA announcer for its fall 2004 Softball
Season. This paid position requires attending each tournament. The
season begins Saturday, Sept. 4. There are also games the weekends

STUDENT HEALTH CLINIC MOVE:
The UNI Student Health Clinic has temporarily
moved to 115 Dancer Hall during renovation of its building.

UNI Financial Aid Office has moved to Gilchrist 255. The campus mail
code (0024) and all phone numbers will remain the same.

ADVISING AND
CAREER SERVICES: Academic Advisors Jean
Neibauer, Michael Broshears, David Marchesani and Michele Peck, and
the UNI Career Center/Cooperative Education have moved to 242 Gilchrist.
The new combined office is now known as Advising and Career Services.
As of July 1, Bob Frederick will serve as the Career Services Director
and Jean Neibauer as the Advising Services Director. The office phone
number is 3-6857, the mail code is 0384.

Pres. Koob will deliver the address, "Great
Expectations." Jay Edelnant is convocation marshal. This traditional
event honors the beginning of the academic year and sets a tone of
dedication to education by both students and faculty. The Panther
Bash, a picnic and rally for new and returning students, will follow.

ART EXHIBITION: The
UNI Gallery of Art will present "The Insomniacís Mansion: Picture-Stories
and Drawings by Ben Katchor," from Mon., Aug. 23 through Fri., Sept.
17. The artist will give a lecture on Tuesday, Sept. 14 at 7 p.m.
in KAB 111. A reception will follow. Gallery hours are 9 a.m. to 9
p.m., Mon. through Thurs.; 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. on Fri.; and noon to 5
p.m., Sat. and Sun. All events at the UNI Gallery of Art are free
and open to the public.

THEATRE OPEN HOUSE:
Theatre UNI will host an open house at the
Strayer-Wood Theatre on Thursday, Aug. 26, from 3:30 - 5 p.m. Learn
more about the Theatre UNI season and special events, audition policies,
and volunteering and employment opportunities. Free munchies and tours
of the theatre will be available.

PROTECTION AGENCY: SMALL BUSINESS REGULATIONS:
This workshop will provide small businesses with a general background
of the environmental regulations that may apply to their operations.
