Iowa Democratic Party and Republican Party caucuses will take place

STUDENT E-MAIL ACCOUNTS TO
BE REMOVED: UNI e-mail accounts for students
not registered for the spring semester are disabled, archived to tape,
and removed from the server after the end of the third week of classes.
This year, that process will begin on Monday, Feb. 2.

PEER ADVISORS NEEDED: Academic
Advising Services is accepting applications for the Peer Advisor in
Residence position, a student employee trained to work in both AAS
and the Department of Residence to provide advising, scheduling, and
academic skill-building resources to undergraduate students (12-15
hours per week). A 3.0 GPA is required. Applications, due Jan. 30,

"Freedom From Smoking," a six-week
group clinic through the Black Hawk County Health Department, sponsored

Northern Iowa State Education Association (NISEA) will have their

ART EXHIBIT AND LECTURE: The
UNI Gallery of Art and Visiting Artist Committee will present "Re-Reading
the Book," a lecture by book artist and photographer Douglas
Holleley on Jan. 20, 7 p.m. in KAB 111. A reception will follow. The
lecturer is featered in the exhibition, "Convention and Invention:
An Exhibition of Publication Design," which runs through Sunday,
Feb. 8. The exhibition, reception and lecture are free and open to

UNI will host the Director/Designers Presentation of the upcoming
production of Aaron Copland's opera "The Tender Land" on
Thursday, Jan. 29, 6:30 p.m. in the Strayer-Wood Theatre. Join Director
Sandra Walden, along with the scenic, lighting, and costume designers,
as they discuss their vision for bringing this American opera to life
onstage. Admission is free.
