NEWS 

FREE FINALS STUDY SNACKS: Take a break from studying for finals and stop by the Union for free snacks. Sunday, Dec. 14, 6-9 p.m., enjoy free beverages, fruit, snacks, and candy. Sponsored by NISG.

DECEMBER TIME SHEET CUTOFF DATES: The time sheet cutoff date for student online and paper time sheets was changed to Monday, Dec. 8. The cutoff date for students using the Kronos time clock remains the same, Saturday, Dec. 6. Payroll time sheet cutoff dates can be found at http://www.uni.edu/controller/payroll/deadlines.html

GILCHRIST CONSTRUCTION: Due to construction in Gilchrist Hall,
the north entrance will be closed Nov. 27-30 and again from Dec. 11-22.
The north entrance will be open on Dec. 24 and should be used to get to
the Registrar's Office. Dec. 24-Jan. 4, public access to departments in Gilchrist Hall will be limited. Most offices will be closed. There are two specific exceptions:
The University Police Department will be open as usual. The Registrar's
Office will be open during regular hours on Dec. 24.

Choices include chocolate chocolate chip, chocolate chip, monster, peanut butter, sugar, molasses, and peanut butter chip, all available with one-day notice. (Other UNI varieties available with two days notice.) Each tub will make about 3 1/2 dz. cookies for $6.99. Order dough before 1:30 p.m. and pick it up the next day after 9 a.m.

STIPEND/SCHOLARSHIP TRACKING AVAILABLE: Students who have a Graduate Assistantship Stipend and/or a Graduate College Tuition Scholarship can now track processing through two new WebCT sites -- Graduate Assistantship Tracking and Graduate College Scholarship Tracking. Access these sites at http://webct.uni.edu If you have not yet used WebCT, click on the "UNI Student - Enrolled in On-Campus Course" link for information to set up account password. With the availability of these sites, reminder notices will no longer be sent through the mail.

NEW RESERVATION POLICY: Beginning January 2004, catering and meeting space at the Commons and Maucker Union can be reserved two years in advance. This is a change from the previous one-year-out policy. Reservations for 2004 and 2005 will be accepted beginning Jan. 5 when campus offices open after the holiday break.
