NEWS 
NEW TRANSCRIPTS ORDERING FORM:  Beginning Monday, March 17, transcripts may be ordered 24 hours a day 7 days a week with payment by credit card by calling 1-800-865-0762 or over the web at http://www.gettranscript.com. Transcripts may also still be ordered by mail, fax, or in person 8 a.m. - 5 p.m. at the Office of the Registrar, 227 Gilchrist Hall, with payment by check, cash, or U-bill. STATE DEPARTMENT ALERTS STUDENTS TO RISKS OF OVERSEAS TRAVEL:  Each February, the Department of State distributes information to alert American students traveling abroad about conditions that may affect their safety and welfare. Visit the Bureau of Consular Affairs' Web site, http://travel.state.gov/studentinfo.html for the latest travel safety information.

STUDENT USER ID CHANGE:  User ID Amnesty will be in effect from March 31, through April 13. During this time, students may select a new user ID, even if a change from the UNI-assigned user ID has already been made. Visit the User ID Selection page, http://access.uni.edu/select_userid.cgi, during User ID Amnesty and choose a new user ID to replace your current one. E-mail sent to your old user ID will be automatically forwarded to your new one.

STUDENT ALUMNI AMBASSADORS ACCEPTING APPLICATIONS:
Students involved with the Student Alumni Ambassadors (SAA) have an opportunity to serve as an official host to UNI. Each semester SAA accepts applicants who have a desire to promote UNI, a GPA of at least 3.0, and a willingness to serve UNI by giving tours and volunteering in a variety of other ways. Applications are due March 26 and can be submitted in 120 Gilchrist. Student Life Team is now accepting applications to get involved with UNI's programming event, THURSDAZE. Applications can be picked up at Department of Residence, any Residence Hall office, Center for Multicultural Education, Maucker Union Info Desk, or Student Activities Office. Applications are due Friday, March 28 to the Student Activities Office.

RAISE MONEY FOR ST. JUDE RESEARCH HOSPITAL: The UNI "Up 'til Dawn" program raises money for the children of St. Jude Research Hospital. Teams or individuals can raise money. If you raise $100 dollars or more you will be an "Up 'til Dawn VIP Member" with a special invitation to battle of the bands, free food, and a lot of give-aways. ResNET GAME NIGHT 3.0:

MAUCKER UNION CLOSED FOR SPRING BREAK: Due to construction, Maucker Union will be closed during the week of spring break. The Union will close at 5 p.m. on Friday, March 14 and re-open at 5 p.m. on Sunday, March 23. You may still reach staff and make reservations by phone or email during that week.
