DECEMBER PAY CHECKS:
Payday is Dec. 31. December paychecks and direct deposit notices for students are mailed to the student's home, not local, address.

MAUCKER UNION FOOD SERVICE:
December 19-20: JW’s Pizza and Club Cafe will be open on the lower level of Maucker Union. The food court will be closed for re-construction. December 20: Final day for elevator service to the lower level. Dec. 23: There will be no food service in Maucker Union over the semester break so we can move food service to the Expansion. January 9-10: 23rd St. Market will be open. January 13: Maucker Union Expansion C service will open.

SILVERPLATTER DATABASE USERS: Rod Library will be implementing a new interface version over the next few weeks for SilverPlatter databases: ERIC, PsycINFO, etc. See how your favorite databases will look at

2003 MINORITY BUSINESS PLAN COMPETITION: New for-profit, full-time business start-ups, located in Iowa, preferably in the Cedar Valley, owned and operated by minority entrepreneurs are encouraged to enter their original business plans into this competition. Prepare your body with a home cooked breakfast Monday through Wednesday from 7 a.m. - 8:30 a.m. and study snacks throughout the day. Prepare your spirit during Centering Prayer on Monday at 9 p.m., Taize Prayer on Tuesday at 9 p.m., or daily Mass on Monday at 4:30 p.m., Tuesday and Thursday at noon, and Wednesday at 9 p.m.

BECOME A PERSONAL TRAINER:
Interested in becoming a personal trainer at the WRC? The next training session for the PT program begins in February. Training will be on Fridays, time yet to be determined. This ten-week workshop is designed to help participants learn how to: reject the diet mentality, feel feelings without using food, honor hunger, feel fullness, normalize the relationship with food, and more. WOMEN'S BASKETBALL: On Sunday, Dec. 22 at 1:05 p.m. the Panthers will welcome the #12-ranked Minnesota Gophers to the West Gym. The women will also be in action Jan. 9 at 7:05 p.m. when they battle Illinois State and Jan. 11 at 2:05 p.m. when they host Indiana State.

MEN'S BASKETBALL: The Panthers will host Wisconsin-Green Bay on Dec. 23, intrastate rival Iowa State Dec. 29 and Illinois State Jan. 7. All games are scheduled for 7:05 p.m. in the UNI-Dome. Don't forget to pick up your free ticket for the Iowa State game at the UNI Ticket Office located in the NW corner of the Dome.

GOT CHOCOLATE?: Dec. 30, 9 a.m. - noon, University Museum. Elementary age youth will learn about chocolate's creation, its ingredients and some history about George Cadbury, Milton Hershey and Henri Nestle, the men who made it famous.
