WEATHER ANNOUNCEMENTS: Announcements will be made via local radio and TV stations, as well as the UNI home page. If you don't hear an announcement about canceled classes, events or work activities, assume that things will continue as planned. Here are the most common weather-related messages. http://www.uni.edu/unionline/public/288.html ------------------------------------------------------------------- MAUCKER UNION CONSTRUCTION UPDATE: The elevator to the lower level will be closed from Dec. 23 through approximately Sept. 2003. Most food selections currently offered in Club '91 will be moved to the Expansion for the spring semester: The food court area (Blimpies, Asian Creation, Bent Fork and Freshens) will close Wednesday, Dec. 18 for reconstruction. Club '91 will be open for service on Thursday and Friday (Dec. 19/20). No food service will be available in the Union during the holiday break. Beginning Monday, Jan. 13 all Union food service will be relocated in Expansion C of the Union. Pizza, subs, coffee, bagels, and muffins will be available. Hours of service will be Monday-Thursday: 7am-11pm; Friday: 7am-10pm; Saturday: 10am-10pm; Sunday: noon-11pm. ------------------------------------------------------------------- NISG DECEMBER NEWSLETTER: The Northern Iowa Student Government's December newsletter is now available at http://www.uni.edu/studentorgs/nisg. All interested staff and students are also welcome to attend. ------------------------------------------------------------------- UNI LOCAL FOOD PROJECT'S: Iowa Public Television will run a story which will feature the UNI Local Food Project's accomplishments in expanding local markets for local farmers in Black Hawk and neighboring counties. The program will air on Friday Dec. 13 at 8 p.m. on "Market to Market" and will be re-run on Sunday Dec. 15 at 12:30 p.m. ------------------------------------------------------------------- ATM MACHINES ON CAMPUS: ATM's will be installed in various campus buildings in the next week or two.
