STUDENT TECHNOLOGY SURVEY: Please take a minute to complete this survey that the John Pappajohn Entrepreneurial Center is conducting to evaluate the interest for a student technology business incubator and/or an on-campus student business incubator. COORDINATOR OF PROJECT V.I.P. NEEDED: This is a 20 hour per week position which pays $7.25 per hour. The Coordinator works for 10 hours per week in the UNI Career Center and 10 hours per week at the Volunteer Center of the Cedar Valley, located in Waterloo. Interviews will be scheduled for the following week.

"RACE, GENDER AND INCARCERATION":Will be the topic Dr. Joy James will address at UNI on Thursday, April 25 at 7 p.m. in SAB 102. Dr. James is a professor at Brown University and speciializes in African-American social and political thought, black feminist thought, critical race theory, urban politics and the prison industrial complex. This event is sponsored by Meryl Norton Hearst Chair in CHFA, the Department of Philosophy & Religion, and the Center for Multicultural Education. A book signing and reception follows the lecture.

VENTURE CAPITAL PRESENTATION: UNI's John Pappajohn Entrepreneurial Center will host a question and answer session for small business owners and entrepreneurs interested in venture capital. On April 30 from 1 - 2 p.m. at the Regional Business Center at 212 E. Fourth Street in Waterloo, Matt Kinley, Vice President of Equity Dynamics, a venture capital firm in Des Moines, will be available to answer questions about venture capital financing, venture capital deal structures, return on investment for venture capitalists, expectations of venture capitalists, etc. Advanced registration is required and space is limited. UNI BASEBALL: The Panthers host a four-game series with Illinois State this weekend at Waterloo's Riverfront Stadium. RETAILING STRATEGIES WORKSHOP: The UNI Regional Business Center will be holding a daylong workshop to give Iowa retailers the tools they need to understand the new values, expectations, and needs of today’s customer. We will cover Retailing in the 21st Century, Inventory Management, Retail Operations, Merchandising, and Promotions.
