COORDINATOR
OF PROJECT V.I.P. NEEDED:
This is a 20 hour per week position which pays $7.25 per hour. The
Coordinator works for 10 hours per week in the UNI Career Center and
10 hours per week at the Volunteer Center of the Cedar Valley, located
in Waterloo. A brief job description and an application form are available

will be scheduled for the following week.

GENDER AND INCARCERATION":Will be the topic Dr. Joy
James will address at UNI on Thursday, April 25 at 7 p.m. in SAB 102.
Dr. James is a professor at Brown University and speciializes in African-American
social and political thought, black feminist thought, critical race
theory, urban politics and the prison industrial complex. This event
is sponsored by Meryl Norton Hearst Chair in CHFA, the Department
of Philosophy & Religion, and the Center for Multicultural Education.
A book signing and reception follows the lecture.

DANCE GALA: The UNI Orchesis Dance Company will present
their Annual Dance Gala on Saturday April 27th at 7:30 PM and Sunday

CAPITAL PRESENTATION: UNI's John Pappajohn Entrepreneurial
Center will host a question and answer session for small business
owners and entrepreneurs interested in venture capital. On April 30
from 1 - 2 p.m. at the Regional Business Center at 212 E. Fourth Street
in Waterloo, Matt Kinley, Vice President of Equity Dynamics, a venture
capital firm in Des Moines, will be available to answer questions
about venture capital financing, venture capital deal structures,
return on investment for venture capitalists, expectations of venture
capitalists, etc. Advanced registration is required and space is limited.

UNI Regional Business Center will be holding a daylong workshop to
give Iowa retailers the tools they need to understand the new values,
