NOTICE FROM THE PURCHASING OFFICE: The FAA in response to the deluge of e-mails, faxes and phone calls it has received since the events of September 11, has set up a centralized communication. The new e-mail address is 9-awa-tellfaa@faa.gov. The fax number is 202/267-5091. The telephone number which is staffed Monday-Friday 8:30am to 5:00pm Eastern time is 1-866/289-9673. FISK CANCELLED: Robert Fisk, renowned journalist for the "London Independent," will not be visiting the UNI campus. He was to speak in the GBPAC's Davis Hall at 6 p.m., Thurs., Oct. 4. His appearance has been rescheduled for early spring.

GET YOUR FLU SHOT: Clinics will take place on the following days and locations: Mon., Oct. 29 from 1 p.m. to 3 p.m. in Maucker Union; Wed., Oct. 31 from 7 a.m.to 8:30 a.m. in the WRC; Tues., Nov. 13 from 5 p.m.to 7 p.m. in the Student Health Clinic; and Wed., Nov. 14 from 7 a.m. to 8:30 a.m. in the Student Health Clinic. MLK III AT LANG HALL:The son of slain civil rights leader Martin Luther King Jr. will speak at 2 p.m., Thurs., Oct. 4, in Lang Hall Auditorium. King's address is part of the Day of Peace event on campus. A Peace Fair, with various related organizations showcasing their efforts and recruiting students, takes place from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. in the Maucker Union Expansion. From 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. will be the Taste the World Reception, featuring free refreshments and appetizers native to countries across the globe. Seating in Lang is limited. Students must show current ID.

KUNI BLUES BLOWOUT: The next KUNI Blues Blowout will be Sat., Oct. 6, 8 p.m. at Waterloo's Electric Park Ballroom. Headlining the show is Anson Funderburgh and The Rockets featuring Sam Myers. Opening for them is the Quad Cities band Elixir. Tickets are $20 in advance and $25 at the door. From 6 to 7:30 p.m. there will be a beer-tasting of imports and micro-brews.
