SEXUAL ASSAULT UPDATE:
The UNI Police Division's investigation of a sexual assault reported on July 4, in the 300 block of G Street, on the UNI campus, was determined to be unfounded. The alleged victim recanted her report and acknowledged the incident didn't occur. The investigation continues pending additional charges related to the incident. CAMPUS STREET RECONSTRUCTION - NORTH OF UNIVERSITY AVENUE:
A portion of Campus Street north of University Avenue has closed for reconstruction. Access to Dakota Street from University Avenue will remain open. Use Ohio Street to access the GBPAC visitor and Gilchrist A parking lots. Weather permitting, the street will re-open to traffic by Friday, Aug. 13.
2010 IOWA STATE FAIR VOLUNTEER REQUEST:
Are you interested in representing UNI to potential students, alumni and other fair visitors at UNI's Iowa State Fair booth? If so, visit www.unialum.org/statefair and complete a submission form indicating the date/time you'd like to volunteer. All volunteers receive free admission to the fair, along with a UNI T-shirt. LOTTERY FOR G PARKING:
Requests for G permits can be submitted in writing to the Department of Public Safety. Request deadline is 4:30 p.m., Friday, July 16. G parking is available in the Gilchrist lot and the Multimodal Transportation Center. Requests should include name, campus address and lot request. The price for the G permit for 2010-2011 is $372. Faculty and staff interested in choosing the 12-month pre-tax payroll deduction payment option must be available sometime from July 26 to Aug. 13 to receive notification of their status and purchase the permit if eligible.
