LOBBYING ACTIVITY REPORTS DUE:
Lobbying activity from April 1 to June 30, 2010 must be reported at http://www.ir.uni.edu/dbweb/govrel/ by Thursday, July 1. In compliance with the Lobbying Disclosure Act of 1995 and the Honest and Open Government Act of 2007, UNI files quarterly reports on specific lobbying issues and the expenses incurred in lobbying. The university's policy on Federal and State Lobbying and Political Activity can be found in the Policies and Procedures Manual at 10.09 (http://www.uni.edu/president/policies/1009.shtml). Reports must be filed each quarter. If there is nothing to report for a particular quarter, note that in the "comments" section. GRADUATE ASSISTANTSHIP PAPERWORK DEADLINE:
Offer forms and accompanying admission information sheets should be received in the Graduate College no later than July 15 for any student who will be on a graduate assistantship stipend for fall 2010, regardless of the source of the assistantship funds. Information regarding assistantships, guidelines and procedures for completing paperwork and the offer form are available on the Graduate College website at www.grad.uni.edu/assistantships/guidelines.aspx. Fall PAF's for those students who were offered, have accepted and who have been verified as enrolled for the required 9 graduate hours on the program of study can be submitted electronically beginning Monday, Aug. 2.
FAMILY WEEKEND INFO NEEDED:
Family Weekend 2010 is Oct. 1 through 3. A brochure detailing all of the weekend events will be mailed to all UNI families. To ensure that your event is included, submit details by Thursday, July 1. Send information to email@example.com.
LIBRARY HOURS FOR JULY 4 HOLIDAY:
Patrons may check out materials and enter the building until 10 minutes to the closing time. There will be no special vacation loans during the holiday. Library online resources are available 24/7; if off campus, there will be a prompt to enter your CatID.

MANAGING NESTS OF NEGATIVITY WORKSHOP ON JUNE 29:
The management workshop "How to Manage Nests of Negativity: Stop the Finger Point, Gossiping and Complaining," will take place from 8:30 a.m. to 4 p.m.,Tuesday, June 29, in the BCS. The registration deadline is Wednesday, June 23. Workshop participants will learn how to identify and confront employees who are never satisfied, and vicious with their words and accusations. The discounted cost for UNI employees is $247 per workshop. UNI departments also have the option to purchase a consortium membership which entitles the business five seats to any of the remaining 2010 management training workshops for $1175. After the five seats are used, additional seats can be purchased at a discounted rate of $220 per person. IDENTITY THEFT WEBINAR:
A free, interactive webinar on identity theft will be offered at noon, Thursday, July 1, at MyEntre.net. Nathan Tobey of Veridian Credit Union will offer advice, tips and tools for how to avoid identity theft problems.

A Fall Faculty Workshop will be held on Thursday, Aug. 19, focusing on revitalizing the Liberal Arts Core (LAC).
