GRADUATE FACULTY AWARDS NOMINATIONS:The Graduate College is seeking nominations for two graduate faculty awards. The Outstanding Graduate Faculty Teaching Award recognizes commitment to academic excellence, attention to individual student needs, and service on thesis and dissertation committees. The award includes $1,000 teaching support. Nominations are accepted from graduate students and faculty. The deadline is Jan. 28.

VOLUNTEERS NEEDED AT NWCA NATIONAL DUALS:Volunteers are needed for the 2008 NWCA/Cliff Keen National Duals in January. This wrestling event will take place from 9 a.m. to 9 p.m., Saturday, Jan. 12, and from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m., Sunday, Jan. 13, in the UNI-Dome. The meet will include Division I, II, III, NAIA, JUCO, NCWA and Women's. Four volunteers are needed at each of the 16 mats at all times throughout the tournament. UNI UNITED WAY CHECK PRESENTATION FEB. 2:President Allen will present a check on behalf of the UNI community to Cedar Valley United Way representatives during the UNI men's basketball game against Southern Illinois at 7:05 p.m., Saturday, Feb. 2, at McLeod Center. 2008 PAF DEADLINES:The 2008 processing deadlines for Personnel Action Forms (PAF) are posted at http://www.vpaf.uni.edu/obo/payroll/cutoffs_deadlines.shtml. Anyone involved in the preparation or approval of PAFs should print and post this for use in 2008. While these are deadlines, PAFs should be prepared and routed for approvals as soon as the action requiring a PAF is determined. Questions about these dates may be directed to Linda Gruetzmacher in Payroll at 3-3003. For assistance preparing PAFs, contact Eunice Dell at 3-7432.

Better your chances of sitting in the UNI section and order your tickets through UNItix at 3-4TIX (3-4849) or stop by the UNItix ticket office at the NW entrance of the UNI-Dome. Regular business hours are Monday through Friday from 8:30 a.m. to 5 p.m.
WELLNESS/RECREATION:FACULTY/STAFF FREE DAYS AT THE WRC:UNI faculty and staff who don't have a pass to the Wellness Recreation Center (WRC) may use the WRC for free Monday, Jan. 7, through Friday, Jan. 11. Stop at the main WRC Welcome Desk, show your UNI ID card and complete a waiver. Faculty/staff may bring their immediate family members as well.
