CALL FOR INFO ON UNI DIVERSITY COMMITTEES/INITIATIVES:
In order to coordinate a more accurate and comprehensive resource and contact list for diversity initiatives and committees at UNI, the CME is inviting the various parties on campus to provide information on your diversity committee/initiative by providing it's mission, target audience, list of members, Web site address if applicable, and main contact person's info via e-mail to Lydia.Roberts@uni.edu. CENTRAL RECEIVING MOVE:
As of Dec. 19, UNI's Central Receiving Warehouse will be located at 2412 W. 27 St. The old warehouse at 9301 University Ave. will no longer be used for Campus Stores or as a receiving area for the university. Contact Dennis Hayes at 3-7653 with questions.
PHYSICS DEPT. RELOCATION:
Due to the renovation of the Physics Building, the Physics Department Office will relocate from 205 Physics to the Center for Energy and Environmental Education (CEEE) Room 113B on Monday, Dec. 19. The campus mail code (0150) and telephone number (3-2420) will remain the same.
NEW RESERVE LISTS FOR SPRING SEMESTER:
It is time to submit requests for new items to put on reserve for spring semester. Spring 2006 requests are due by Dec. 23 to guarantee materials will be ready for checkout the first day of classes. Volunteer tutors are needed for all subjects during the spring semester for children ages 5-13 . Program runs Mondays 2:45-4:30 p.m. and Wednesdays 1:15-4 p.m. at the Payne Memorial AME Church Kids Cafe site, in Waterloo. Kids Cafe is a program of the Northeast Iowa Food Bank. Intramural Open Pre-Season Basketball Tournament: open to students, faculty and staff (men's and women's divisions). Entry fee: $20 with a two-game guarantee. A mandatory managers meeting will take place at 4 p.m. Thursday, Jan. 12, in SEC Room 252. Make-up meetings are at 3:15 p.m. Jan. 17 or Jan. 18 in WRC Room 150.
