ADMISSIONS UPDATE:Enrollment Services increased offerings for prospective students visiting this fall. More than 2,200 students and families attended 18 Preview Days, consisting of a campus tour, advising, academic and financial aid sessions, lunch at Rialto, Q&A with a student panel and a residence hall tour. An additional 2,300 came for individual visits, which include meeting with a counselor and/or faculty member, campus tour and lunch at Piazza. STUDENTS FIRST CAMPAIGN WRAP-UP:A sample of the Students First Campaign newspaper is being distributed to all departments. Used to promote campaign results throughout the Cedar Valley, it outlines the community response and which projects received funding. The campaign raised $112 million, exceeding its $100 million goal. Programs received the most support; scholarships were second; and capital projects third. ICBS CLOTHING AVAILABLE:The International Club of Business Students is selling T-shirts, sweatshirts and scarves in purple and gold. The clothing features the UNI name in 14 different languages and purple paws on the gold backround. These make good Christmas gifts for relatives and friends. PERFORMING ARTSKUNI LIVE FROM STUDIO ONE:David Stoddard & Karen Mal will perform at 7 p.m. Monday, Dec. 12, in the third-floor studios in the CAC. Stoddard won the 2004 Minnesota Folk Festival New Folk grand prize and was a finalist in the first annual Winterfolk song writing competition in Montreal in 2003. Karen performs as a solo artist and as a sideman for others on mandolin, guitar and harmony vocals. Admission is $3. Children under 12 are free.
