IMPACT DATA:
The offices of University Marketing & Public Relations (UM&PR) and
Governmental Relations have cataloged impact data for every county
in Iowa to show Iowans the role UNI plays in their communities.
Some examples include the number of alumni, students, scholars and
athletes, and university business and community outreach activities.

STUDENT TIME CARDS:
Attention supervisors and timecard approvers of student employees.
Student employees who worked between Dec. 12 and Jan. 8, must have
completed an electronic timecard for each week worked. All
timecards must be approved by 5 p.m. Wednesday, Jan. 12 to be included
in Jan. 19 paychecks. For more information contact the MEMFIS help
desk at 3-5555, option 2.

INTERNAL SEARCHES:
The Provost Office has openings for two academic administrative
positions and two faculty development positions. The Special Assistant
to the Provost for Personnel and Administration, and the Director of
Academic Assessment are revisions of currently existing positions.
The Administrative Development Program will provide two faculty each
year with opportunities to broaden their experience in higher education
administration. Details and application procedures are posted at

faculty and staff are encouraged to apply. The application deadline
is Jan. 24.

TOBY KEITH IN CONCERT WITH TED NUGENT:
Toby Keith and Ted Nugent will perform at the UNI-Dome Sunday,
Feb. 20 at 7:30 p.m. Toby Keith is the reigning Academy of Country
Music Entertainer of the Year and has sold more than 13.5 million
albums. Tickets go on sale Saturday, Jan. 15 at 10 a.m. Tickets
($41.75 and $57) will be available at http://www.ticketmaster.com,
(319) 363-1888 or UNI-Dome box office and all Ticketmaster locations.
All tickets subject to convenience and/or handling fee.

FORM W-2 ADDRESS CHANGE:
W-2s will be mailed to staff home addresses the last week in January.
To change a home address, go to "My UNIverse." Under "My Personal
Records," click on "Update My Personal Information" or e-mail
HRS-MAIL@uni.edu; call 3-2422 or stop by Human Resource Services,
in Gilchrist 104.

EMPLOYEE NEW-HIRE PAPERWORK:
The Personnel Data Sheet, which is completed by new employees along
with their I-9 and W-4 forms, has been revised to meet Oracle data
needs. Contact Human Resource Services at 3-2422 to obtain the latest
version.

INTERIM ASSOCIATE VICE-PRESIDENT FOR SPONSORED PROGRAMS:
Jill Trainer has been named Interim Associate Vice-President for
Sponsored Programs. She will continue the sponsored program work
initiated by former CNS Dean Kichoon Yang, with emphasis on external
contacts, until the current national search for the Associate
Vice-President for Sponsored Programs is successfully concluded.

NEW I.D. REQUIRED AT ROD LIBRARY:
All university employees must have a new identification card to check
out materials at the Rod Library. New identification cards can be
obtained by visiting the Department of Residence in Redeker
Center, or the Follon Student Services on the second floor of Gilchrist
Hall, near Financial Aid.

Massages are available Wednesdays from 10 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. (with Lisa

$10 for every 15 minutes. Pay by cash, check, u-bill, or payroll deduct.

ART EXHIBIT AND LECTURE:
"JoAnn Schnabel: Works in Clay" will run Monday, Jan. 10 through Wednesday,
Feb. 2. Two other ceramics exhibitions, will accompany the main exhibition:
"UNI Alumni Ceramics Exhibition, 1990-2005," and "Out of the Cupboard, Into
the Light: Ceramic Works from JoAnn Schnabel's Personal Collection." Free

MLK MOVIE MARATHON:
The CME, 109 Mauker Union, is hosting a Martin Luther King, Jr. Movie

EQUIPMENT AUCTION:
On Wednesday, Jan. 19 at 10 a.m., warehouse at 2412 West 27th St. --
west of the UNI-Dome. The first items to be sold will be scientific
equipment from the Physics Dept. including an oscilloscope,
Geiger counter and two scalers. Immediately following will be the
sale of some used electronic equipment, computers and computer
equipment. All items are sold "as is" and must be removed that
day. Payment must be made in cash or check on site before removal.
A photo ID is required to obtain a bidding number. Call Vince at

Jennifer K. Dick, author of the award-winning collection of poetry,
"Fluoescence," will read from her work Thursday, Jan. 13, at 7:30 p.m.
