NEWS 


WARNING SIREN TO SOUND:
The Black Hawk County Emergency Management Agency will conduct
a test of the outdoor early warning siren system Wednesday,
Jan. 5 at 11 a.m. One sound is used for the test -- a steady
wail lasting for three minutes. If severe weather conditions are
present, the test will be canceled to avoid confusion.

STAFF TRAINING GRANTS:
Applications for the spring 2005 Staff Training Grant program are due
in the Human Resource Services office by Jan. 10. Application are
available at http://access.uni.edu/forms/index.shtml#S.

NEW BUDGET FUND TRANSFER FORMS:
All end users who create and route Budget Fund Transfer forms will need
to go to MyUNIverse MEMFIS Forms in January and download a new Budget
Fund Transfer form. The account code combination has been altered to
accommodate a different kind of budget line identifier. Old transfer
forms will no longer be accepted. Call Mary Prenosil (3-6137) or Brenda
Neff (3-2383) with any questions.

This program, sponsored by the Anti-Defamation League's A World of
Difference Institute, explores issues of identity, culture and awareness
and emphasizes skills needed to confront and combat bias. Led by UNI

COOKIN' SPECIAL TICKET PRICES:
Purchase $5 tickets for the final dress rehearsal of the show Cookin'
Monday, Jan. 10, 7 p.m. in the GBPAC Great Hall. Seating is reserved,

arts, culinary expertise, dancing and high-energy percussion. Compared to
