CNS NAMES INTERIM DEAN:
Joel Haack, head of the Department of Mathematics, has been named interim
dean of the College of Natural Sciences, effective Jan. 1. Kichoon Yang
resigned to become provost at Northwest Missouri State. For more details,

DEADLINE FOR FOUNDATION CONTRIBUTIONS:
To ensure donors receive appropriate credit for their 2004 contributions,
credit card information must be received in the Foundation accounting office
by 2 p.m., Friday, Dec. 31. All other contributions postmarked by Dec. 31
must be received in the Foundation accounting office by 5 p.m., Friday,
Jan. 7. For more information, call 3-7118.

NEW BUDGET FUND TRANSFER FORMS:
All end users who create and route Budget Fund Transfer forms will
need to go to MyUNIverse MEMFIS Forms in January and download a new
Budget Fund Transfer form. The account code combination has been altered
to accomodate a different kind of budget line identifier. Old transfer
forms cannot be accepted after Dec. 23. Call Mary Prenosil (3-6137) or
Brenda Neff (3-2383) with any questions.

MAUCKER UNION FOOD SERVICE:
Food will not be served at Chats Thursday, Dec. 23. Coffee will be
available from 8 to 10 a.m., and 1 p.m. to 2 p.m.

HOUSES FOR RENT:
Two university-owned houses are available for rent. They are located at
1209 W. 23rd Street (four bedrooms) and 3204 Panther Lane (three bedrooms).

UNI BLANKETS ARE IN:
The UNI Athletic Club is selling oversized UNI blankets. The
48" x 67" throw is $60 for Athletic Club members and students, and $65

The offices of University Marketing & Public Relations (UM&PR) and
Governmental Relations have cataloged impact data for every county
in Iowa to show Iowans the role UNI plays in their communities. Some
examples include the number of alumni, students, scholars and athletes,
and university business and community outreach activities. To

KUNI X-MAS BASH:
Thursday, Dec. 23, KUNI will host a benefit show at the Reverb,
downtown Cedar Falls. Featured will be Donny Brazile (with Jeff
Petersen from Blue Band), Raldo Schneider and the Boys, Uncle Chuck
and Jon and Amy from Measure. The show starts at 9 p.m., doors open at
7 p.m. Admission is $5 at the door. All proceeds benefit KUNI.

ATHLETICS
Thursday, Dec. 23 the UNI men's basketball team hosts the Longwood
Lancers at 7:05 in the UNI-Dome. Santa Claus will make an appearance
and there will be a drawing for gift certificates.
