NEWS 

DANGEROUS E-MAIL ATTACHMENTS:
Effective Dec. 7, UNI e-mail servers will block incoming attachments
that are considered dangerous. Attachments are considered dangerous
if they are directly executable scripts or programs that may contain
a virus and should not generally be transfered using e-mail. Examples
of attachments that will be blocked are those featuring ".exe," ".pif,"
and ".scr." For more information, see

Essentials in Maucker Union is a drop-off site for a food drive to support

NEW I.D. REQUIRED AT ROD LIBRARY:
All university employees must have a new identification card to check
out materials at the Rod Library after Jan. 2, 2005. New
identification cards can be obtained by visiting the Department of
Residence in Redeker Center, or Integrated Student Services on the
second floor of Gilchrist Hall, near Financial Aid.

EMPLOYEE RESOURCES 

INTERSESSION TECHNOLOGY WORKSHOPS, JAN. 3-7:
ITS-Educational Technology will offer faculty-only workshops on
technology's role in teaching and learning. New this year are
"Weblogs," "What Makes a WebCT Course Exemplary?" and "WebCT –
Beyond the Basics." Seating is limited. Reservations are required.

Beginning January 2005, ALL interlibrary loan requests must be submitted

public computers dedicated to ILL electronic requests. Library staff

AUDITIONS FOR "THE VAGINA MONOLOGUES"
Auditions for the the all-female cast of "The Vagina Monologues"
will take place Dec. 6 and 7 from 6 to 8 p.m. Callbacks will be Dec. 8
from 6 to 8 p.m. Auditions and callbacks will be in Room 1 of Strayer
Wood Theater. Prepare a one-minute monologue or something that displays
individual talent. There also will be pieces from the show. For more

ATHLETIC CLOTHING SALE:
The UNI Athletic Dept will host a used-clothing sale Friday,
Dec. 10, from 9 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. at the UNI-Dome. Athletic wear
available includes jerseys, warm-ups, T-shirts, shorts, sweats,
tank tops, shoes and coats. All items are pre-priced and sold "as is."
Payment must be made in cash or good check before removal. No
advance sales or previews. Enter only through the north Dome
tunnel. Parking is available in the new lot west of the Dome.
